Icopal today announced plans to acquire 100% of the Wolfin activities from Henkel AG & Co. KGaA in Germany. The relevant purchase agreement has been signed by both parties; the transaction is still subject to approval from the German competition authorities and the completion is expected to take place by the end of May. Wolfin is one of the leaders in the high quality synthetic membrane market in Germany and sells premium products under the brand names of Wolfin, Tectofin and Cosmofin. Wolfin, which is based in Wächtersbach, Germany, has been established nearly 50 years ago and has supplied material to cover more than 60mill square meters of roof in all climatic zones of the world.
